Have your own tricks, your own periods, your own moons, your own ragnagnas
To have your poppies, your bears
Being on red alert, being indisposed…
Such and such a way of talking about them, of using them as metaphors, without really naming them: MENSTRUAL RULES
ROUGE CARMIN invites us to bring this blood out of the shadows and re-appropriate a hidden fluid. On stage, four women sing the same rhythm, that of a dance that unfolds, spreads, synchronizes and disintegrates. It’s the color of a belly that gives way, of a breath that listens, of a mystery that drowns. This piece celebrates the cyclical nature of all things, from growth to degeneration, from expansion to restraint, from life to death. The aim of this bold, militant, feminist creation is to loosen tongues and give free rein to expression on a subject that is both universal and taboo.
