Artisan textile designer Dominique Clouzeau works with textiles with passion and creativity. She uses her craft skills to combine fleece fabric with other materials such as silk, wool and pearls. L'atelier des marmottes
L’Atelier des Marmottes, a certified Artisan D’Art workshop, is part of the Plateau des Petites Roches crafts & terroir heritage. Located on the banks of the Savoie at the foot of the Chartreuse Massif, this workshop offers Savoyard embroidery, women’s ready-to-wear and embroidered handbags. In addition to these handcrafted products, l’atelier des marmottes also offers embroidery courses.
Catherine owes her skills as a seamstress and embroiderer to a family heritage. Her embroiderer grandmother passed on her passion for meticulous work and the art of embroidery. Today, she makes her own embroidery designs, which she applies to Savoyard costumes in particular.
