MOUNTAIN BIKING

Do you love speed and the thrill of hurtling down slopes and through forests? Then you’ll love mountain biking on the Petites Roches plateau or riding a VAE in the Chartreuse. Whatever your riding style – mountain biking, mountain bike or road biking – you’ll find itineraries to suit your needs. Blue or red, it’s up to you to choose a level of difficulty that matches your level of experience. Whatever the case, the Chartreuse and the Petites Roches plateau offer a wealth of mountain bike and mountain bike trails.

Mountain biking as you like it

At the Plateau des Petites Roches, mountain biking and mountain bike outings can be organized as you wish. You’ll find tours to suit everyone, from beginners to experts, depending on what you’re up to that day. Loop or single trip, the choice is yours.

Do you prefer mountain bike routes that allow you to do loops? Choose an etrip under the Bear’s tooth. Departing from Saint-Pierre d’Entremont, this 13.7 km loop is perfect for those who want to try out electric-assist cycling, as well as for those who already have a good level of mountain-biking experience. If you want to do a loop with children and introduce them to mountain biking in the forest, the Dioux loop is ideal. A very easy 45-minute itinerary, it’s perfect for outings with children.

If, on the other hand, you prefer beautiful itineraries without the feeling of retracing your steps, then choose the long crossings. Crossing the Grésivaudan from Le Touvet to Bernin at the foot of the Chartreuse offers you the chance to discover all the treasures of the area: the Château du Touvet and its gardens, the Montfort marshes.

Mountain bike trails for everyone

The Plateau des Petites Roches offers a wide range of mountain bike trails . The Saint-Hilaire to Saint-Bernard loop, for example, offers a fantastic mix of forest tracks, trails and asphalt. Of medium difficulty, this 15 km loop offers a 2h15 outing in the heart of the Chartreuse massif.

Are you looking for VAE courses in the Chartreuse region? In this case, you can enjoy a 13.3 km loop with 225 D+. Thanks to your electrically-assisted bike, there’s nothing to stop you, not even that positive gradient. Departing from Saint-Pierre de Chartreuse, this route offers magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.
